Here is my dilemma, everything the no voters have said is accurate. There are concessionary aspects to this contract, which is an incredibly tough pill to swallow. I get sick at the thought of our mainline partners awarding 20+% raises, significant profit sharing checks in addition to an already disproportionate pay scale, but this contract, if approved, would still be the leading regional contract and the envy of every other connection carrier. As much as I would have liked to see the "bar" raised, is it realistic, or even attainable to expect anything better? After all it is "Industry Leading"! Im not a young, naive pilot, nor am I a lifer, and I honestly don't believe management is playing games. I would love this moment to begin a ground swell of support to get rid of ALPA, not because our MEC's failed us (they did better than every other pilot group in the industry), but because national sold the regionals out years ago.

Thats part of my dilemma. I fully expect a fear campaign to begin immediately. I will closely follow what is being "threatened" and determine whether or not I believe the threats to be legitimate. I'm sure that there will be talk of significant fleet reduction if it's not passed. As hard as it is for me to take, but at this stage of the industry we are no different than Regional Elite, a contract service that is believed, and proven to be easily replaceable.

a. A pilot will be paid and credited, at the applicable rate of pay
set forth in paragraph [A.], above, on a daily basis, the greater of:
(1) Paragraphs [1.b.] or [1.c.], below, for Continuous Duty Overnights (CDOs).
(2) Paragraphs [1.b.] or [1.d.], below for other than CDOs.
b. Block Hour Credit
The greater of actual or scheduled block time calculated on a leg-by-leg basis, including deadhead credit and any additional pay credits set forth in this Section.
c. Duty Hour Credit
1 minute of credit for each 2 minutes of originally scheduled duty time calculated for each duty period up to 12 hours of duty, and then 1 minute of credit for each 1 minute of originally scheduled duty time after 12 hours of duty.
d. Minimum Day Credit
3.86 hours of credit for each scheduled or actual calendar day of duty, and/or calendar day away from domicile. This provision will not apply to time spent in training (not including OE). For purposes of this paragraph, any trip that is scheduled to terminate prior to midnight LT but actually terminates between midnight LT and 0400 LT the following day will be paid a single minimum day credit.
1.c. applies only to CDOs now. Oh and notice that they pushed back the end of the day from 0200 to 0400. Another concession.

Ouch! Nice catch! I read the important sections tonight, that duty rig blast just pushed me from a "pretty sure no" to "solidly fupm camp".
Seems we conceded rather than secured stronger language on three of my four top issues with C2007:
-stronger rigs (duty, min day, trip): GONE
-earlier PBS timeline: now one day later if falls in weekend/holiday
-strengthen reserve rules (moving days): status quo at a minimum
Out of the too four, retirement did increase. (ASA)

I have been thinking the same thing. 50 seaters all gone? 700's & 900's to someone else?
There will be a threat of some kind.

-Duty rigs for non CDO trips
-Vacation bidding/vacation low
-Micro managed with third party reassignments/check ins
-Assignment of vacations
-reduction in 401K,increase in insurance
Basically the pay stays the same but the work rules go down. Not one positive towards this TA.
I was never an automatic no voter - I was willing to see the whole TA to make my decision. And my decision will not be emotionally based. It's a simple "no, we can do better".
