Since the XJT CPP interview (not flow) in seniority order, it would potentially take you longer than Commutair. And you will never upgrade at XJT. A dying airline.

CommutAir pay just isn't that great yet. I see what you mean though.
What do you think about Republic to United. No CPP but the benefits are great.

The true movement begins in January. I think a very small number leave in November.

Ah nice.
Well like I said I'll be starting college next year so I'll have time to see how things play out.
I want United really bad though.
Envoy to American is another thought too.

So you are starting college next year and then you are looking 4 years from that? Man so much is going to change between now and then I wouldnt even waste brain cells on it right now.

^ageeed. Way to early to make any plans. Companies you have an interest in today may not exist tomorrow let alone 4 years from now.

This is so true! The funny thing is 95% of the guys saying that have put no effort into trying. They find comfort in their decision to stay by using this crutch. I've yet to find a person who says this that has an updated app, current logbook, and are going to job fairs or interview prep. It's just an excuse to not even try.

Dude just enjoy college. Don't worry about the regionals. There will always be some kind of flying job after you graduate. As previously stated, a lot can change in 4 years. I'd expect 4-5 regionals to completely disappear in that time. If XJT doesn't fix their problems, they are on the chopping block. I really hope they do fix things. Lot of good people at XJT, but that's the reality of the industry. Enjoy class, binge drinking, chasing girls, parties, and worry about being an adult when it's time to be an adult. Enjoy the easy life. I would give anything to go back. It goes too quickly. Good luck with school.

This.

In the next 4 years, the majors/LCC's are going to hire more pilots than currently fly for all of the regionals combined. Significantly more.

The landscape is going to be very different in 2 years, let alone 4.
