Scary thing is my source said both. CRJ side to shut 6 months after ERJ side.

Wait a minute ..., I thought we were getting 717's!

Not that this is new news, but I was talking to someone who has a "friend" under a NDA in ATL HQ and they solidified the fact that this place is done in 2017. Fleet size will start dropping dramatically in 2017 as it is currently scheduled to. Towards the end they're going to offer us the Skywest contract. If we don't take it then donezo. I say, hello unemployment line. Very reliable source on that.

Calling BS on this. The 200s are going away, but why would OO take on AA flying if we're closing the doors?

I've read all the comments concerning ExpressJet...does anyone think the company will be viable past 1/1/19? I heard yesterday the CPA with United was extended indefinitely as long as ExpressJet continues to operate. The projections seem to indicate that the ERJ side will continue to shrink until 101 airframes are reached, but with all of the ERJs on the United side, even that seems like a lot of 50 seaters...

You realy think United signed a "indefinitely" contract.. at most it will be extended one year at a time. And moat likely for less airplanes each time.. heck of a way to plan your life... thats reality though..

Honest question. Why wait it out? Are there lots of benefits on spiraling to oblivion versus leaving now in droves? Honest

I don't work there, I was asking as a prospective employee...things don't seem to be getting better, though, no doubt. Apparently, L-ASA union reps put out to start looking for work based off what someone else said on another thread. Still, the airline seems like it has a lot of great people, great performance, and excellent training.
