Retirement Phone Survey

FlyBoyd excellent summary. I got the call today. I spent most of my time giving "extra" comments on most sections. When it came to the end the poor girl had to ask me to slow down. My impression is that the MEC will be getting the unedited results
How many reflect what I think...ehhhh.

Was called a week ago, while driving in city traffic. Asked the kind lady if she would call me back in 30 mins, as I really wanted to participate in the survey.
She assured me she would. She never called back.
Left two messages on their answering machine.
Crickets!
So why are we conducting a random phone survey, instead of having a website where every paying Fedex ALPA member can log-in and answer the questions on line?
That is how the initial Retirement Survey was conducted 18 months ago.
Why the change?

Your MEC has contacted the University of New Hampshire Survey Center (UNH) to conduct a phone survey of our membership to assess communications as it is related to the retirement research and education project.
Calling times will be between 9am and 9pm (timezone appropriate)
Interviewing 700 pilots (randomly selected)
UNH will make several attempts to call back if your sampling quota is not yet completed
For HKG and CGN, calls will begin June 24th and go through July 3rd at the latest.
For HKG, calling will open at 8am local time.
