If you have not done so already, forward your emails to the officers as soon as you can. From personal experience, JC has dealt with this kind of unresponsiveness in the past.

I called my block rep directly and he called me back within the hour. Spoke to him for over an hour and even though we disagree he was very respectful and adamant that unless it is an absolute home run, it will not be forwarded to us. We shall see.

Your 700 number is confused. The initial survey was 700. That did not go well. The open survey was a lukewarm 53% approval. At least according to the bus driver.

How was your answer "no" if you don't remember if it was asked?

By the way, it was asked...:

"Would you be open to the Negotiating Committee presenting the Variable Benefit Plan, as it has been designed in the Retirement Income Replacement Modeler, to FedEx Management for negotiations?"

Now they’re using stats from an entirely unrelated question as “support” to pursue a VB plan that at least a “vocal” majority of us have no interest in! I’d like to see the specific question asked and true results released.

WRONG! Again, more bad info on APC to perpetuate false and misleading information. But what fun are the facts?

From the on-line survey around question 24:

" Would you be open to the Negotiating Committee presenting the Variable Benefit Plan, as it has been designed in the Retirement Income Replacement Modeler, to FedEx Management for negotiations?"

Well if we are talking facts, let's talk facts. The MEC said they wouldn't proceed with negotiations with the company concerning retirement without the consent of the membership. Now they are using the marginal results from a poll to imply consent.

If they are basing that consent on the question you quoted, then they can't entertain anything less than a 2% floor guarantee, a 5% hurdle rate, and only a soft freeze of the A plan, because that is all that the membership consented to in the poll.

Reference the first post in this thread, where can I "read the the latest settlement regarding retirement and vacation payout"??? I'm thinking this refers to Grievance 17-02. Thanks in advance.
