I called my block rep directly and he called me back within the hour. Spoke to him for over an hour and even though we disagree he was very respectful and adamant that unless it is an absolute home run, it will not be forwarded to us. We shall see.

How was your answer "no" if you don't remember if it was asked?By the way, it was asked...:
"Would you be open to the Negotiating Committee presenting the Variable Benefit Plan, as it has been designed in the Retirement Income Replacement Modeler, to FedEx Management for negotiations?"

That’s because they did NOT ask that question. They asked a generic “would you like the union to work on improving retirement” type question. I think we can all answer yes to that. But they did not ask about whether we wanted them to pursue the VB! I think they knew better. Now they’re using stats from an entirely unrelated question as “support” to pursue a VB plan that at least a “vocal” majority of us have no interest in! I’d like to see the specific question asked and true results released.

From the on-line survey around question 24:

WRONG! Again, more bad info on APC to perpetuate false and misleading information. But what fun are the facts?

If they are basing that consent on the question you quoted, then they can't entertain anything less than a 2% floor guarantee, a 5% hurdle rate, and only a soft freeze of the A plan, because that is all that the membership consented to in the poll.
