What you said was offensive to those of us that are Patriots and loyal to the US.

While I don't know Albie personally, in this case I agree with his sentiments.

Put your app in at Lufthansa, we don't want you here.

This is ridiculous. I barely comment, but you are a bunch of sensitive wordtwisting guys. The guy just said he wants to leave the USA for political reasons, never said anything about the people that has fought for this country or anything insulting. He only stated political, never mentioned a party or a side. He can do whatever he wants he was just asking for advice and then some resentful guy blew this totally out of proportion.
PS: I am american and for the record no wonder why he wants to live in the EU.

Totally agree with the last post. Someone isn't happy here and wants to leave for his home country and that is a grave insult to you? Who is the snow flake here and what does that have to do with German history? Ridiculous!

You American haters are certainly a sensitive bunch. But at least you stick together.

Your response shows you continue to display the ignorance behind your initial post.
No, you said nothing specifically about the U.S. military. But the attitude displayed by your post is highly offensive to those of us who truly call this country home. For many of us, this country and service of it in the military go hand in hand, so your post offends on many levels which is why the military quickly became part of this thread.

Yeah, I'll bet you want this thread to be done and "run it's course". Get back under the radar and maybe no one will notice. I just hope someone can find out who you are and keep you from joining our pilot group.
You seek employment with a US corporation that prospers under the freedoms and "politics" that are inherent to the U.S. and foundational to that very success. Employees working for FedEx benefit from that success, help contribute to it and also pay taxes to their government.
You come across as a leech - a remora willing to attach yourself to that successful company in a way that benefits you the most while rejecting the country and system that allows your potential employer to flourish. You discuss expat status and how to "fill the square" on citizenship requirements while looking for ways to minimize paying taxes to whatever "master" suits your plan. All while looking to benefit from whatever side of the citizenship option works best for you.

Claiming that makes you a citizen of either country is a joke. The fact that you spent your formative years as a citizen of another country other than the U.S. is obvious. Choosing U.S. citizenship out of convenience for your own benefit while holding your nose long enough to land the job and move you (and your fiancée's ungrateful asses) back to Germany as soon as you can is where the problem lies. The fact that people's negative reaction to your post is still somehow confusing to you is extremely telling and frankly pathetic. You have papers that allow you to claim U.S. citizenship, but that's it. You're not American, nor will you ever be. As others have said - look elsewhere, we don't want you here.

Germany is nice this time of year. Go live there for political reasons.

Don’t let the door hit you on the ass on the way over.

The OP’s question has been sufficiently answered.
