Thanks.
Update today from VP of Flight Ops in email to those in the pool/interview queue. Most important part he said was “At this time, no interviews are scheduled for the calendar year 2020. We will continue to review business plans for the fiscal year 2021 and keep you informed if plans change.”

Ouch! Hopefully they reevaluate soon. Over at Brown its a busy “peak” season. To the point the company is exercising it’s contractual ability to bring in short term contract lift. I’d imagined you guys are in the same boat. We both have new aircraft deliveries coming and plenty of retirements.

Looks like 24 new hires in August. 12 MEM 757 and 12 MEM 767 on the training letter.

Did you get the email? In quotes is a portion of exactly what the email said.

Well bummer but wouldn’t loose to much hope yet there are 18 767’s that are suppose to be delivered in FY 2021 that will be staffed for long haul international from what I understand so I wouldn’t be surprised if they interview later in the year. They still have to drain the pool but I think with the delivery’s and retirements this year they will need to interview again soon.

We have the same booming loads at Purple. Many captains making over 100k a month and FO's over 75k a month. The postal service loads are off the charts and international demand is forcing us to pull as many previously retired air frames out of the desert. The reason we are not interviewing is that we had 200 pilots in the pool and we are now running them through class. Numerous new hires will be brought on through the rest of the year. I'm guessing we clear most of the pool by the end of the year. Hopefully interviews by the holidays or first of next year.
