On the job history section, why does it require you to enter an “end date” on your current employer?
Should I just put today’s date??
even though I’m obviously not quitting today!?

also, it wants no gaps in employment dates- life doesn’t work that way, especially when you’ve done seasonal jobs in aviation,etc..

Any gaps of employment should probably just be filled out as unemployed. That’s my advice at least.

Life may not work that way but the FedEx application site does. Just fill gaps in with an unemployment period. Airline apps makes you do the same thing.

Default Letter of Recommendation

Anyone know if you can write someone an LOR or list yourself as a reference on their application apart from using your personal endorsement? I’m already using my endorsement for someone’s application, but I’ve got a separate request for an LOR. I thought you used to be able to do this on the application website. Thanks for any suggestions.

If you are still working, for end date put “current”.

If you are no longer working, for the end date, put the actual end date.

the application website doesn't let you leave the end date blank even if you check the box nothing "current employer". It gives an error notification when you try to save your profile without an end date for your current employer and residence.

I just put today's date and then update it every time I update my application. I do the same thing for my current residence and availability date....but I haven't gotten an interview yet, so maybe that's part of it.

I did exactly that, as well as updated the addendum section with the current date nearly everyday. Poor system and they are the first to admit it. It does pay off though. I successfully interviewed 1 month ago.

How long between app submission and interview?
