While I have not been able to do it, if you are able to drop your entire line, and then pick up the same number of hours at draft, you are not flying "extra", you are flying "smarter". The company gets the same amount of productivity, but you get paid more. Personally, I have no problem with that.

Once again sometimes we need to make sacrifices to get a deal done. We’ve got to stop making excuses. Everybody can find an excuse and a reason. Those who keep doing this is the reason why we have problems getting an agreement done in a reasonable amount of time.
Next will be the person that tries to find a sly way to justify doing extra and draft.

And now we realize that people like you are the reason we can’t get a contract done. Justifying ways to say it’s OK to do draft. Why do you think they draft people to do trips? Do you think it’s because they have a bunch of people on reserve to cover them? Or do you think it’s because they’re desperate?

It’s simple, look at all the OT with pilots offering TPU… why? Cause they wanna dump those trips to get called for draft!! Pathetic.
We get the contract we deserve.[/QUOTE]
That’s not exactly what’s going on, I mean, maybe some people are, but for the most part, if you want to adjust your schedule at all, you have to PROF trips, because scheduling is denying everything in a lot of seats right now...

When you manipulate your schedule and then pick up OT trips over yellow/red days your are helping the company! Those days are red and yellow for a reason, staffing low on those days. Even if you are “just getting back to guarantee”. Fly your line and thats it. Make some sacrifices! If you are not willing to sacrifice then you are the problem.

I don’t agree with this 100%. The thing that matters the most is how many credits you fly. If each pilot flew no more than BLG/RLG then the same number of hours get flown as flying the line. No extra. You’re Demonizing people who try and improve their quality of life by using Proffer. TPU being the only option in many seats. I can’t criticize balancing the line back to BLG regardless of pay code. I’ve heard one of the things the company is targeting is the clean footprint left by TPU for AVA. Not sure if that matters, but they don’t like it because it’s caused pilots to fly less actual credit because what they are flying is at premium. Not sure if that matters, but the fact they are targeting it is telling.
