Good lord, who is actually talking about this? I wear the liners almost exclusively. I’ve NEVER heard anyone even make a comment about it. Based in MEM and wear them in AOC all the time. Who tf cares?

Is the policy of not wearing jeans and a t-shirt when deadheading considered part of the uniform policy even though is not uniform? I’ve never understood why it matters what we wear when deadheading as long as we are complying with the specific airline’s dress policy.

Anyway, we can walk and chew gum at the same time.

As for past FCIFs or just FCIFs in general, I’ve always seen that as problematic when they are used to set policy. There is no simple way of referencing them when looking up policy like we can with the FOM.

The only unauthorized combo is the pilot hat and liner worn together. Each worn separately? Great. Worn together? Definite write up from the fashion police.

You nailed it. FCIFs are ok for a quick message to the crew force but rarely does the company move the information to a more permanent location. Setting policy via FCIFs leaves us arguing what’s what.

I’d rather be able to not shave every damn day. Especially when the company puts company employees on the jumpseat who have beards, GoTs etcetc. If it’s safe enough for them, it’s safe enough for us.

I don't think the OP does…nor any of those responding. What we do give a single **** about is a disgruntled, finger-pointing CA crushing an FOs nut sack over something he’s wrong about.
