That’s fine, because you aren’t too far off so there’s no need to cite sources here. Im sure the union has better info now than they did during that pub meeting. I can’t speak to the 100 leaving, I don’t think that is true, probably not a mass exodus either, but I know there are plenty who are getting ready to go now.

When I first got here, I always thought it was funny when captains would tell me “I’m just building time for Delta.”

Who knew it would actually be the case! 😂

When you absolutely, positively have to get to Delta or United… FedEx.

Nice story. But if someone is a pilot at FedEx they already meet the requirements for Delta and UA.

We have lost a lot more than 2, and we're about to lose a LOT more.

We have no scope protecting the majority of our good flying, and the only flying that is protected to some degree is our brutal domestic system where you're either doing night hub turns, extremely long duty day hub turns in the day, or trips that flip back and forth constantly, or maybe you'll get lucky and do out-and-backs and have to go to your crashpad in MEM every day hoping a bullet doesn't come through the wall. And the best part is that our domestic hotels are rather low end (we stayed at the same places or even nicer places at the regionals) with the crowd that comes with those types of hotels making noise all the time while you're trying to sleep.

Seniority here means little in your day to day life as a fedex pilot.

If you have a good trip, they will revise you into flying the awful OT trips for little to no extra pay while a junior pilot gets offered your trip at 150%.

If you want to bid a certain seat on a system bid, you might not get it while someone who is years junior to you does.

We have like two and a half good things here, retirement, vacation and line bidding. The half is line bidding because we've given up most of the perks of line bidding already and a lot of our pilots are stuck with an awful version of PBS. The rest of our contract lags behind the legacies and even some regionals.

Pilots have a seniority # for scheduling their monthly flying.(during month prior) It is not a “superiority #” to take flights away from junior pilots because he doesn’t like what happened to his schedule dynamically by the company! Business needs some flexibility! Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose!

or sometimes you have a contract that prevents all of that nonsense. Put your head back in the sand.

"business needs some flexibility" - tell me you're a company apologist without telling me you're a company apologist. No wonder why you're defending the pillaging the company did to sec 24 in the other thread.

If you need to revise me to give me trip that still needs to be flown to a junior pilot... F'n pay me for it.

Why is the junior pilot getting 150% to fly my trip to my home city with a backend DH and I'm getting revised into a trip to a different city and I only get straight pay?

Revision pay needs to be 200% to stop this nonsense. Seniority means nothing here if the company isn't going to be penalized for violating it.

I agree our contract should be better! But my head is not in the sand! Stop posting with emotional garbage and discuss/explain your issues. I’m not the enemy or management! I’m your fellow line pilot who deserves a little more respect than what you’re posting!

318 was discussing abrogating seniority where it is not. Every Airline and Air Lines has revisions and extensions, etc. None of their contracts prevent these things, but they do have better language to deal with it.

Calm down! You are posting with misplaced emotions! Stop being rude to people who are trying to have a conversation about the contract that you don’t know and are not willing to take the time to understand! I’m no company apologist! I don’t like our contract either! Have not voted yes to one yet! But being condescending to your fellow pilots doesn’t do anything to help! Only makes you look immature!!!! Hope you feel better after that post.

Scheduling shenanigans these past few years were very rare or never happened in the past. Yes, contract needs improvement, I don’t think PILOT has stated otherwise! Bigger penalties, however, will not change these things! Company will pay them without even caring about them! So the behavior is not going to change. Proof is all the draft and extremely expensive deadhead tickets that far exceeds any airline’s penalties! So money improves your pay, but doesn’t stop the madness!

I think it’s time for you to take action to make yourself happy! You deserve to be treated better than here at FedEx. Take the time you’re not taking to understand the contract and use it to apply somewhere you can be happy and excited to go to work. Life is too short to be miserable.

Dude, the constant commentary is insufferable. Maybe get a hobby besides complaining incessantly on APC. Or perhaps switch companies (again). Or go to work for the union and be part of the change you desperately crave. Constantly posting on APC does nothing other than give you an outlet for your negative thoughts.
