Bout time!

Please riddle me this, one of these individuals had this scenario. Listed as SCK on RA…he gets released for a sweet trip (again while SCK) and is well in time for show? So he has three lines at same time, RA, REL, and SCK. Only way I can figure it out is that they called him while SCK, said I have a sweet trip (usual skymiles finders fee applies), he accepts, gets released by CRS, then gets online a day later to click well in time for trip.
Am I missing something? How can one get released while SCK?

Yeah, it would be great --- kinda like if we allowed the company to block off X Student Lines in each bidpack each month.
Then X guys would pick up about X times AVG BLG worth of the best trips in the View/Add window, and the #1 VTO would become the #1 + X VTO....and every VTO behind him would shuffle back X spaces too.
VTO pilots would get less trips and more reserve built into their lines.
And the amount of Open Time released at the beginning of the bid month would go "poof".
Well, that's until the company realizes they only need X less FOs overall.

So, we have about 5600 active pilots, and the average number of vacation days for them is about 25. That's 150 hours of vacation. Right now, we can sell back 40% of those hours, or 60 hours. If we are allowed to sell back 100% of those hours, that's a 90 hour difference. 90 hours is over 1 month of BLG in most months.
Now, let's say 25% of those 5600 pilots decided to take advantage of the 100% sell back. That's 1400 pilots. That would equate to 116 secondary lines, otherwise known as VTO (VACATIOn, training and other) that are not needed. That is 36% more lines than the 85 lines that you claim (though you have never actually provided the true number of LCA's) would be lost due to SMU.

Or just maybe it’s individuals who have poor judgement and lack integrity. Bad choices by individuals (allegedly) which happens in every workplace. Please don’t play the victim card and point the finger at the “groups” when it’s clearly individuals. These are adults who will likely face consequences and has nothing to do with ALPA or Management.
