Block 1 rep took her offline husband to Anchorage and denied a seat to a probationary FO trying to get to work.

Her Jumpseat, commuting has its risk. Commuted for 28 years, plan ahead.

Yep, you're part of the problem.

It’s not HER Jumpseat. She didn’t pay $350million for that airplane. It’s not HER Cessna 172. She just happened to be the captain on that particular flight and if she would’ve texted YOU that YOU were being denied so her offline husband could come along and they could takeoff with an empty seat because “Fur Rendezvous” then you would’ve been livid. But she wouldn’t try that with someone with seniority, only the new guy.

YOU and HER are part of the problem.

Captains decision on who rides..

Nope I would have found another way to work and not been livid. Got bumped off plenty of jump seats. Take responsibility for yourself and quit blaming everyone else.

You are definitely a major tool. No doubt you voted YES and are part of the old guard who we are slowly but surely getting rid of. Can't happen soon enough.

Captain's jumspseat, we fought for it. Maybe you don't like people getting bumped but thats the way it is any where.

Yep. That's Captain's work. We have guys that come here straight from the military who haven't jumpseated and we get other guys who just lack etiquette. Mentor where necessary.

It IS the Captain's jumpseat. Of that there can be NO question for a million different reasons. That said, all decisions should be reasonably and rationally defensible.

We need to police our own so that when we go jumpseat with the rest of the world we aren't made to look like a$$clowns in the industry at large (although the PSA certainly thing did so as I've heard frequently).

Had an AA FA on my DHD after seeing my FedEx bag tag laugh and ask if I was going to PSA. Sad.
