For all of you who thinks that the CA "owns" the jumpseat I would recommend reading the People Manual 7-47. Pretty in depth chapter about jumpseat priority and an offline jumpseater is below a pilot commuting, regardless of who they happen to be married to. Also a little section about when and why a CA can remove a jumpseater, and it's not for their spouse to have a seat. I would say the People Manual makes it pretty clear that FedEx owns the jumpseat and there are clear policies regarding it's use.

Why would anybody in their right mind DH with any visible company branding attached to themselves or their belongings? Incognito is the only way to go.

Unless you're former managment and a current ALPA block rep and need to make sure a family member gets to Fur Rendezvous. That obviosuly takes priority over one of your own colleagues getting to work. And spare me the excuses about how many flights there were that day. If her and her husband are both major airline captains and Fur Rendezvous is that important to them, they could afford to buy him a ticket. Can't believe anyone would trust that person's judgement and belive they would be looking out for anyone's interests other than their own. Talk about self absorbed.

You have your resume ready for PD? Just join the SM group? Sounding like a company lackey.

Been commuting for 12 years. Consider yourself lucky you've never had a pax try to take your bag out of the overhead thinking it was theirs. I proudly attach my ALPA contract bag tags to my carry on. YMMV

FedEx pays less than $200M for a 777.

Not only that, but there was an empty jumpseat on her plane the whole time. She denied the guy going to work even though there was always an empty seat for him.

Think there is more to the story than you know. Did he bring this up with pro Stan or just complain about it on JF?

It was never complained about on JF and it happened over a year ago.
