+1. It's the new way of governance they are embracing. F consensus building, that is hard. Just purge everyone who doesn't agree with you. And then ignore all advice and run headfirst into the brick wall.

Despite the teeth-gnashing and numerous references to the Tony Ticker, the average FedEx pilot has lost exactly $0.00 from TA1.0 failing. Any pay and retirement gains we could have gotten were voided once a majority found it lacking, and voted no. We'll eventually get TA 2, and that TA will have an APRP attached to it. The APRP will be calculated back to the CBA amenable date, not to any date attached to the failed TA1. Then it'll be up to us to decide if that's sufficient for a yes vote, and at that time you can make a semi-valid calculation of "money lost".
Plenty of his other points have varying degrees of validity to them, but deserve little in the way of time spent refuting individual points. He's angry and bitter that we unwashed, drooling masses did not see TA 1.0 as worthy of a yes vote.

Meh… The poster hijacked the ALPA campaign process for serious MEC Chair candidates. His campaign letter will do more harm for his cause that TA1 was salvageable. It’s gone and he chose a poor method to deal with his grief (emotions) over it.

"purge everyone who doesn't agree with you" = push a ****ty TA through fast so that over 700 pilots, more than 10% of the pilot group, of which 8 out of 10 will vote no, can't vote on it.
"ignore all advice and run headfirst into the brick wall." = exactly what they did despite the pilot group pushing the MEC to not send us a ****ty concessionary TA. They ignored all advice, ran into a brick wall and sent it to us anyway. Then we told them to cancel the vote once we saw how horrible it was, they ignored all advice, ran into a brick wall and kept the vote on anyway. Then we voted no and told them to step down, they ignored all advice and ran into a brick wall and wasted time for us and didn't resign. Then we recalled them, and then they continued to ignore all advice and kept trying to ram us into a brick wall with TA 1.1 and delaying the seating of some of their replacements.
The fact of the matter is that your leaders that you love were not only wrong but also completely inept, and your continued loyalty to them is only damaging your chances of ever seeing a TA before your retirement date comes along.

I don't have to retire until 2032, but based on the three ring circus our union has turned into, I'm starting to wonder if I'll see a new TA before then. On the bright side, my lanyard collection will be awesome.

Though you can certainly reach out to its author and demand reparations from him, he’s clearly swimming in cash since TA 1.0 was good enough for him.
