I'd even say get rid of GMU and all limitations on adding/swapping once Open Time goes live. (I say that, getting close to 2,000 hours of GMU, with no mil leave.)
Protect seniority during the View/Add window.
Let guys fly as much or as little as they want. All trip trading on a first come - first served basis, and automated. Remove CRS from the equation. It benefits the company, and us.
Ask any other top-tier airline if they need to wait over 5 hours (VIPS server too busy) for a trip drop, swap or pickup. We are absolutely LASTGen when it comes to our 'bid line adjustments' limitations.

I’d like seniority based open time until the first day of the bid month. I don’t even participate in OT on release day because I’ve never beat the time stamp of someone else or VIPS is busy. It shouldn’t come down to nanoseconds or a reliable server to manipulate my schedule.

"This is the way!" One of the few things seniority can give you at Giant, but it does have it's monthly/hrs limit I believe. Although senior enough I don't partake - well that's a lie, I did once and got screwed by being extended for several days. Ton of cash in the end, but it became painful which was just my luck. Still nice knowing if I need a cash injection I can nab it in most cases.

With that said, real time trip trading would be great. We need that. But the same players would still get the trips because at the end of the day, they are still faster and on open time 24/7. Now extensions are a different story.

Senior guys have had their chance at the best lines, bid LCA's, the best training slots, the best vacations, the best view add. They have had their chance to make their best schedules. Open time should NOT be seniority based, the way it works is just fine, if you want to put in the work to better your schedule. We already have industry bottom reserve rules that the junior guys like me have to live with and the senior guys never wanted to fix.
