You don't understand pensions do you? The PBGC guarantees a much smaller amount and it breaks it down by age and retiree status. So if you are an active pilot not near retirement and the pension goes to the PBGC you are completely screwed. If you are near retirement you are just screwed and if you are already retired, you might be okay.
