Will this be a shuffle realignment type of thing where the Junior 777 Capts and FOs might get pushed out? Or any Junior “desirable” seat for that matter?? Not that any seat is exactly desirable these days. Some pay lots more than others though.

The "excess" is largely the result of intentional squeezing, optimization, and abusive implementation of contract language that is far too permissive (based on trust that is a vestige of a bygone era). It's a minor hiccup that has been intentionally morphed into a supposed staffing crisis. Remember when PD said we'd "be sorry" if we voted no? I believe this is our collective "punishment". That said, I'd vote no 1,000 more times and my resolve is only being strengthened by these petty games.

Hence, ALPA sending out guidance with references to 23-01 and 24-01.

Incorrect, if enough senior FO's/captains on the Airbus or 75 Captains (the two seats being reduced) bid to either MD or 777 and fill all the vacancies then the bottom guys will start being pushed out.
