We have no idea how much freight is on the white network, unless you're getting some unique insight you're unwilling to share. We have no idea how much "Orange network" is on Purple tails. Could be some, all or none. Because, we really don't have a hard definition of what orange or bypass freight is. What we do know is that quite probably, a pallet could be in any or all of the Tricolor, from the time it is tendered to the time it is delivered.
The idea that you can sit there and see ASL 737s and continue to believe that the company doesn't outsource as much as it can strains credulity. I think they stopped their plans when it was obvious that was a plan when they wanted even more compliant scope, and the then NC had no plan to manage that part of the negotiation and TA1 failed in large measure to that.
And, you're rolling out the then NC justification, which was "They'll never do that." When the company is outsourcing our freight, every day, at considerable risk to our brand.

Hilarious how all these monkeys got duped into thinking something magical was going to happen if they fired the NC and elevated to chairman a three year FO who flew the line for a YEAR. How's that working out everyone?
Don't you people get why people park themselves in the union and on the NC? They don't want to hub turn. They're not the "most qualified" because they camped in the same spot at a different airline.
So glad you retained 1 and 8. The transparency is amazing, and the gains profound! LOLOL

18 months came and went with the burn the burn it down clowns. The current NC is at least NEGOTIATING and not getting the polar vortex from the NMB. With our lack of unity we are going to get what we deserve. Just a bunch of cry babies about how bad FedEx is but no balls to do anything about it.

In the immortal words of Ferris Bueller:
"It's over. Go home."
The pilot group spoke, and spoke LOUDLY.

how long do you think it takes to create a TA that will be approved by the masses while negotiating with a company that doesn’t want to help your cause while meeting with a governmental agency that keeps changing mediators? Do better

Watching all these people on this chat group "SM" is remarkable. Concessionary, old, decrepit, broke, weak minded people who are desperate for anything. I've seen them bend the truth in ten directions. I have seen them gang up on people. I have seen fired block reps and MEC officers embarrass themselves publicly over and over. I don't know why I even read except it's better to know the enemy and keep a watchful eye on them. YOU are the reason this job will fall off a cliff SM. I hope you all empty out before we ever sign something.

Tony and his buddies hurt us a lot more after the TA was voted down with their ill conceived plan to bring FedEx to their knees.
If we didn’t have so many IC like easyhore we might have some leverage. Instead the NC has to fend for themselves with nothing backing them up.

I read all the people on this thread bellyaching about "FedEx isn't the place to be" any more. This isn't true. Here are the cold hard facts of the current situation. Disclaimer - I am not management and I am not a management sympathizer. I am simply someone that can look objectively at the business and objectively evaluate the decisions that have been made.
1. "My friend passed on FedEx for Delta, American, United." This is complete garbage. Your "friend" most likely was never called for an interview, got hired at one of these airlines, and convinced themselves they are at their final resting place because they don't want to go to training again. To these smart lads, September 11th never happened and can never happen again. Their application is sitting on the desk at German Wings but Delta called first. FedEx probably wasn't going to call anyways. Guys are leaving FedEx? I'm sure those free standby passes are working out when every flight in America is full these days. "We can always try the next flight honey."
2. "Hubris." Do you really think FedEx will have a hard time getting 300 bus drivers to come fly the freight at FedEx? Do you think management is worried? Is there a huge difference between the ace of the base and the "pit pilot"? Pilots are pilots, and when FedEx calls, applicants will come interview. If one passes for Delta, another will accept the invite. At 200-300 a year, they can keep the standards where they are currently. Tons of guys are getting out of the military now. RJ captains will resign tomorrow if FedEx calls.
3. FACT - The 757/767 training pipeline is all backed up. Did management mess this up? Someone probably hung for the 767 simulator not getting certification. Management wants all new hires in the 757 so they don't have to pay passover to anyone. Um, is this a bad decision or a SMART decision to honor seniority and spend less money? My guess is that they will have to relinquish this desire and pay the passover money because freight is being left on the ramp at alarming rates on the MD-11. Pilots are tired of treading water with seniority and aren't flying extra any more to make up for a manning shortage. Well done guys. At least the MD-11 guys realize that flying extra means less pilots.
4. Work rules. I know enough about the passenger carriers to know that they work rules don't compare. Want to trade a trip? Sure, as long as it's the same exact footprint you currently have been assigned. Sure, American and the others have new contracts. They sold their souls on work rules. Oh, and they block 80+ hours a month. I would shoot myself if I was in an airplane that much. It's not possible to block that much at FedEx, even on the 777. When the contact is signed lets see who's on top of the industry in pay...
This should stir some stuff up here.
