I think buggy whips are coming back, and I need hopeful investors.

Most are Memphis locals that have only ever wanted to be at FedEx.

This is very much true, and speaks to my current situation. Don’t want to commute, not in a life stage where moving is an option for a legacy. Understand it’s not all roses and rainbows, but living in MEM absorbs a lot of the extra suck that most FedEx pilots contend with as commuters.

I know the very last guy to be offered a CJO before it all shut down. His dad was a 50-year FX employee...a dispatcher and freight recovery guy before he recently retired.
That guy has been at Delta for 3 years and isn't leaving...legacy or not.

Everyone's situation is different and they've got their own decisions to make.

With some very specific exceptions you'd be a fool to come to the "new" FedEx if you have another decent option. This ain't it people. I'm waaaay past V1 but I fly all the time with junior guys who are dripping with regret.
This is not some "blip". The corporate culture has been completely ransacked (with intent). Nobody's coming to fix it. In the very unlikely event that the culture changes it will take decades to regain any semblance of trust. Pizza sure as hell ain't gonna do it.
