Rumor has it 727's are gone by June which is going to flood the training department with homeless slave ship drivers alleviating the need for any newbies for the rest of the year.

Newhire class in March still planned (or maybe there never was one planned)? I thought I may have heard a class of 6...

That's good to hear. My buddy got hired back in October, I believe, and he's been waiting for a class.

I was talking with a FedEx instructor, he said the app window should open soon, I'm bummed I missed the last app window by 10 days.

I heard- No new hires for March or April. Busy with 727 pros going to other fleets and a handful of pilots returning from leave/medical instead.

The interesting thing about Fred's statement is that just as easily you can replace management with a computer that can draw up incredible business plans and is not subject to greed and being power hungry. Another benefit would be that it"s a lot cheaper then a CEO and other top management. It could save a company a lot of money. Becareful what you wish for)
