Two of those MD10's had spar cracks. The company decided not to fix them.

The third is probably just waiting for a C check slot down at LAX.

Since FDX requires a pilot to resign his current job before entering FDX G/S, does FDX provide plane ticket to MEM since the new-hire will not have an airline ID to jumpseat?

Since you are also on your own for a place to stay during training, you might want to drive to MEM. It will make training life easier if you have a car.

Im planning a hotel for Indoc and crashpad for longterm....bringing my car for longterm....

I guess I'll just get a buddy pass to get to MEM.

The Extended Stay America (off Poplar) is not a bad place to look at for the 1st two weeks. Fairly convenient if you get a 75 also. Ask for the FDX rate.
