1000 TPIC in a turbojet aircraft weighing greater > 12,500lbs...have also heard they want the time in an aircraft weighing >40,000lbs....but still need the 1000 TPIC either way.

Minor correction to the above, HR told me greater than or equal to 12,500 MGTOW counts. (I specifically asked about my BE20 time and she said they absolutely count it).

I’ve had new hires in the right seat that we’re flying their first jet. All TPIC was TProp. Jet may be preferred, but not a showstopper.

Thats encouraging. I have some Beech 99 time so its below 12500 anyway and I’ll have to wait until I have the multi turbine from the jet at my current job. Hopefully recruiting will like me having both.

I posted this question in the 135 thread but it may be more appropriate here:

I’m pulling chocks from Big Blue in 18-ish months and trying to decide what I want to do when I grow up. I flew F-16s for 8 years and have approx 1400 hrs, 1100 TPIC. Been in the unmanned ISR realm for the last 10 years with no appreciable “manned” hours logged in the interim. Trying to decide if I should go to the manned ISR shops (KA350 types) or 121 regional with the ultimate goal of FDX. Any insight as to what would look better on the application? TIA

I would say 121 would be your best option.

Regional.

Plenty of threads on this if you are so inclined to know why, but airlines in general really like a mil applicant who also has 121 experience.

What are my prospects of getting on with FDX, with experience of:

5700 total time, of which
-3000 is 737 all right seat(Europe)
-2000 on a 777 right seat(worldwide operation from the Gulf)
-and the other 700 is piston(all in the US).
I do have a bachelors degree.

My concerns are:
-0 jet PIC time(about 500 PIC on the pistons)
-never flown for an air carrier in the US(although I am a US citizen with US ATP)

Thanks!
Interesting, I have similar total as you but I have over 2k tpic and I'm a 737 pic. My anchor lies on the bachelor's degree...
Regionals are hiring DEC captains!

So no actual manned currency? I'd think that would need to be your first step. Then you could look at the regionals or other cargo like Kalitta. Had one guy come through where I work now, with quals similar, spent a year then went on to Southwest.

Nothing appreciable in the last decade. I intend to go get a flight review and and instrument re-qual in the next coming months but that will be in a C-172. Thanks for all the advice-
