I would not call in sick.
What if your current company tracks your JS to MEM?
Now you get fired for lying. Not good.
I would call FedEx, explain the situation, explain that you bid around it, but you have zero control over your training. Be honest with FedEx, and ask for another interview date. If they are smart (and I hope the hiring people are, but sometimes I wonder) they will let you reschedule.
Don't lie to your current employer and get fired over it, that will ruin your long term chances anywhere else.
Be honest, it's the right thing to do, and I think the smart play as well.

Would one of you experienced guys mind talking me (us) through the "Applying to FedEx for Dummies" process? I'm really talking about the Pilot Creds piece, and any other specifics on getting the desired appropriate information to the right place at FedEx.
I have a Pilot Credentials account, there's nothing in it because I haven't hand-jammed anything from my Airlineapps account into it yet (that one is pretty much complete). There seems to be a different account for FedEx, do I need a separate account and then synch the two of them, or will the one on PC be good with everything the company needs?
Thank you.

I was in the middle of transitioning to a new airplane at my regional when I got the email. They were very understanding of my need to schedule the interview after my training.

I’m tracking that airlineapps and pilotcredentials are two separate things. My question is related to the pilotcredentials interface. There appears to be a FedEx subpart to it, so I’m asking if I input all my data into the normal pilotcredentials site, is that all I need to do? When I’m ready to go live and actually apply, is there some other FedEx site that I need to also get smart on?

LJ,
Once you populate, pilot credentials main app, there’s a sub page for Fedex. All your inputs will carry over, there may be some additional questions, then publish to Fedex.pilotcredentials.

If you are just going to apply to purple, you can just fill out the fedex version of the site.
If you are planning on maintaining apps through PC with AA, SWA, and FX, then you may want to fill out the main global app once, port the info into the three sub-sites, and then go from there so as to not have to duplicate your efforts.

Fellas, thanks for the information. I have already paid the fee and started inputting my data into the global site so I’ll stay with that and then push it FedEx when it’s ready. Do I need to have an additional unique FedEx pilotcredentials login to do that portion or is it just part of the main site?
