I had two weeks, a couple had none, but most had 1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks. You have online computer modules to complete, systems, flows and limitations to learn.

I went home for the two weeks and did them. I also took time in that period to drive a car down to Memphis.

I heard we got a good deal on those because they are actually misprints. They're supposed to say:

Cajun make sure you know the DD 214 requirements when you show up for work. I think I had to provide a copy on the first day of indoc. I could be wrong.

[QUOTE=lthompson020;2234562]For the new hires and first year guys, the attached article seems to have inflated the estimate for first year pay at FedEx. I estimate around 80k. What say you?
$68K for MEM MD first year. YMMV.

my YTD pay as of 10/31 is $54K

I was through training relatively fast, only had about a week off after indoc i am on the bus, and started in January. FWIW

I also have a bunch of hours in my makeup bank so had I not dropped a lot, It would be a bit higher.

I hope this isn't the case, AF doesn't give the DD214 until after your DOS. My terminal runs through indoc. Can anyone clarify the 214 requirement?

The break can vary from a week to three weeks or more depending on Sim availability. There is no requirement to remain in local area.

The only thing airline related that would be smart to do is get a head start on your airplane specific Computer Based Training so that you show up to class as prepared as possible.

Thanks for your service and welcome aboard!

I started Indoc on terminal leave from the Navy. When I checked out on terminal leave I got an unofficial copy. When I got the official copy I scanned and emailed to Kim. She deals with this everyday. Just shoot her an email if you are in the same situation and she'll tell you how to proceed.

Nope...no local area requirement this is the big boys/girls program😁 You will however have a load of CBTs to get done prior to starting training and must plan for that. A guy in my class started the Monday following basic indoc so he was very busy getting everything finished. However, the courses are assigned and available for you to start day 1 so they'll remind you during BI that it would be a good idea to get started on them ASAP.
