Who is an inquiring mind
SW says this;

Flight Experience: 2,500 hours total or 1,500 hours Turbine total.
PLENTY of dudes hired WITHOUT turbojet regardless of background. But it's ALSO a competitive environment.

FedEx, who recently dropped their TPIC says this;

A minimum of 1000 hours total fixed-wing pilot-in-command in multi-engine turbo prop A/C or jet A/C or combination thereof (GTOW 12,500 or greater) is preferred.
PLENTY of dudes hired WITHOUT turbojet (in the past) regardless of background. But it's ALSO a competitive environment.

UPS says this;

Minimum of 1000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) hours in fixed-wing jet and/or fixed-wing multi-engine turboprop per 14 CFR 1.1
PLENTY of dudes hired in the past WITHOUT jet regardless of background. But it's ALSO a competitive environment.

Note, I simply picked those 3 because of their TPIC requirement, or long held TPIC requirement which was recently dropped (FX).

Fedex had a recent class with 1/2 no shows.

AA check airman guy told me SWA also had a new hire class half no show just recently.
Did you overhear that at 31 flavors from somebodys cousin?
Our union told us about the FedEx no shows. The AA check airman told me about SWA on a crew bus.

My airline is looking at starting a flight school, and also a flow thru agreement with one or more regionals. They have never considered this before.

It doesn't matter much to me, as I never finished college, but perhaps eventually they'll drop that requirement too.

1) You asked, I simply provided answers

2) UAL has hired a few, read FEW as of late WITHOUT a degree. It's a highly competitive environment.

3)UPS;
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
People hired without it, it's a highly competitive environment.

4)SW;
Education: graduation from accredited, four-year College preferred
People hired without it, it's a highly competitive environment.

I can't remember what Alaska says.
