This is correct.

Correct

Thx guys/gals.

Once again, showing my ignorance. Do they fly you out commercially to the aircraft? If they do, what airports do you have to live by? Im assuming any airport that is serviced by airline.

Good luck to all!

Typically yes, unless there's an aircraft at one of your local airports on Day 1. They prefer larger hubs but we do have a handful of people that live somewhere that always require a connection to get to the plane. They are usually always on the first flight out in the morning.

Quick question regarding the interview process - if you make it to the second round for the technical interview conducted via Skype/FaceTime, are you essentially on standby for the call during all of the available times you give or will they respond prior to the interview to schedule a time from your availability?

Hey, I've been think about applying to XO. I'd like to do that around March of next year, as by that time I'd have 1000 121. I commute and honestly that's getting old very quickly, so being home based sounds really good. The thing is that I don't have any connections, I don't know anyone that works for the company. I've heard that they are big as far as internal recs go, or job fairs. Is that still the case?

Any of you (current XO pilots) by any chance will be in KORL next week? Could stop by the FBO with coffee and donuts if that's ok...

Thanks for the help, happy holidays!

They do hire a lot of people with internal recs or job fair appearances but not everyone had one. If I recall correctly the application is pretty short and easy so I’d throw one in if you’re interested.

Of the fractional/135 world has no idea of where they will be at the end of the current day let alone next week! . Unless they will be on vacation at Disney! If you are in a 121 situation already you should read up on the whole Netjets page about how life is on the road. I am sure xo jet is about the same but with less pay and benefits!!!!!!

I know where I’ll be at the end of the day: on a Lyft or rental to a better hotel than the 121 pilots waiting for a van. At the end of the week I’ll be on a paid ticket instead of begging for the privilege of a jumpseat home. Life on the road here is so infinitely easier than it was at a regional 121. They literally pay for everything but beer.

Go to the APC page and compare the pay after upgrading at XO at 1.5-2 years to upgrading at Netjets after.... never.
