thanks.

Internal recs are going a long way right now. Unless you are typed in one of our aircraft or have internal recs you may not be looked at. Check flight aware. Go introduce yourself to a crew out there.

Thank you for the tip. Are there other ways to meet XO pilots or recruiters?

Roomer is we are adding more challengers. Looking at 9 right now. One is replacing another and going to be vista-fied. The cost of the X is the thing. We pick them up cheap and make a good return on them. But for every 4 Ax’s we need 4 more to cover the AOG’s. As they slowly (very slowly) start phasing out the X I see the 350’s coming to XOAV due to Vista not flying anything older than 3 years. Again. This is all unsubstantiated, but what I see coming in the future.

Whar you described is very likely. I have heard of some low time ax’s that for the right price could be bought. The scenario you described is certainly possible, even probable. 2 months from now the picture will be clearer for sure

,

XO does not discriminate. However, we have more than a handful of former XO’ers who went to the airlines and now anticipate being laid off from their 121. Some returned to XO within 90 days of leaving and returned to their prior fleet/seat. I’ve already flown with two of those, and they know how blessed they are. Others are beyond the 90-day limit for return rights, and thus must apply like everyone else. However, because they are a known quantity to XO, I expect they will get first dibs on any new openings.

I tell everyone to apply. With potential fleet growth, the only candidate who doesn’t have a shot is the one who takes themselves out of the running...

Watching flightaware for ads, dal, and dfw to try and catch an xojet crew. By chance anyone live in the dfw metroplex or even Waco/Austin/Houston? Glad to drive to meet and connect.

Default Live where you want?

Thanks to everyone for all of the great information. I am a recently retired military guy, living in SC. I know the websites say live where you want, but is this accurate in practice/hiring or should I be considering relocation to make myself more marketable?

Thanks!

I don’t see anything on the schedule for the next few days for any DFW area airports but that than change with littl to kno notice. Just keep checking Flightaware in the morning, around noon and then afternoon and something will pop up. We have pilots who live in the DFW area but not sure if any of them monitor APC. I’m down near SAT but be patient, something will fly through there. Good luck

Apologize for the lack of clarity. Some places only want to see "signed for the aircraft" pic, while others include dual in their desired totals, or repo type flights as long as pic rated, even if both pilots were captain. Juts wanting to have the correct version for my application.

I saw that for upgrade xo wants 150 pic in type, and they have you get that by being appropriate typed and count your actual flight controls time for it, so just wasn't sure on the time prior to xo.

Thanks again!

They want the FAA definition of PIC. If you can legally log it when manipulating the controls, put that as PIC on your app. We treat our PIC time on the job the same way. Its why we have no “high minimums” captains.
