The pay at EAS is well below industry standard all things considered. This is one of the remaining issues that needs to be addressed in order to keep pilots in the cockpit long term.
Not only are some airframes under paid, but you're also expected to maintain 2 type ratings on top of that. This is combined with quite a large list of out of cockpit responsibilities and duties as well, many of which other operators are not expected to perform. Self dispatching, flight planning, accommodation booking, and managing your own expenses are just a few off the top of my head.
From my observations, those currently employed at EAS are happy in the short to medium term. However everyone is still heavily sided on waiting for that " final job" to come along. You simply lose too much money over a long period of time by not moving on to something else.

Wheels Up is paying higher than industry avg for 350 drivers.
Unsure of their Sked, but I do understand that they have hiring into the KA and Citations seperate. Meaning one who is hired into the KA has little or no chance of moving over to the Citations.
Word has it that two guys learned this after a few days of school and they got up and walked.

EAS should take the salary they're paying you to be their APC spokesperson and share that wage with their pilot group.
WheelsUp salary of $80k is closer to the industry average of $73k than it is to $88k. Looks like leading industry average. Since youre an EAS spokesperson, let me ask. Is EAS happy with training new pilots every year or 18 months? Or would they like to keep their pilots around longer? Just curious.
Let me add that EAS doesnt pay their 350 PICs industry average. EAS pays industry bottom, KA_350 PICs start at $58,000 for those interested in knowing. Calculations make it even worse when you look at the monthly salary and take into account working 20 days a month. Time is money. Break it down to per day flown, miserable. I know of someone who left EAS and is flying locally and making $90k flying KA_350.

I get paid $0 to post here. As a matter of fact, I don't work at EAS anymore. I took the one job that I was leaving for. But that doesn't prohibit me from posting info for others who are interested in EAS. I don't post lies or false statements.
As for your comments. The 73K-80K-88K....your assertion is about a $1,000 difference. I said "Wheels Up pays higher than avg for a 350 driver". Is that not true? EAS pays less than avg for 350 drivers, but pays higher than avg for Phenom 300 drivers.
As for you buddy who make 90K to fly a KA 350, does he do all the extracurricular duties you mentioned? I would assume so. He is paid higher than the highest report to the PP Survey. Good for him if it is gonna be long term.
I have seen too many guys to count that have taken a job paying much higher than the airframe calls for and then get laid off within a year or two when that bubble bursts. I applaud guys who can get more $$$ when they can. But don't say that EAS should pay $90K for 350 drivers since your buddy makes that.
EAS has seen many depart looking for "better" jobs. Some find those great jobs, but many have moved laterally or what they took turned out not to be what they expected.
Anywho, you guys can post all day about how BAD and TERRIBLE EAS is without posting the good things about who EAS is. Feel free to make your posts, but don't troll around here and drop your "i know of a guy" negativity. I can post for days about grumpy NJE, Flex Jet, Flight Options guys too.

RI830,
It's human nature sometimes to focus on the negative instead of balancing between both pros and cons. You know as well as I do that pilots love to complain.
Many good things have been said about EAS, it's an evolving company that has only gone one way since I've been here - and thats up. Paperwork reduction, iPads in the cockpit, new planes all over the system, better schedules for senior pilots...
This however doesn't mean we as a group shouldn't push to continually improve our QOL at this company.
No one wants to change jobs. I would be tickled pink tomorrow if EAS introduced an actual pay scale that gave me something to look forward to in 10 years. I'd rather put the effort into pushing for that then I would in searching for a new job. I believe in my company, I support it ( most of the time ) and I want to see it flourish and do well.
As far as the so called trolls... I think you just need a bit of perspective is all. You are the companies biggest spokesmen on this forum. That's great, you clearly support EAS and want it to do well.
There's one problem though.
You left.
Love it or hate it, it gives your words and opinions on the company less weight. You aren't here, and likely your only contacts inside are management men who will paint a perfect picture of how things are.
YOU can post how great things are without talking about whats bad. See what I did there?
No disrespect intended. Just giving you my point of view.

VSI,
I always love to see EAS take new strides towards QOL, pay etc improvements. When you reach the "pinnacle" or perfect job, you better worry, cause there is something terribly wrong! Every job has its faults.
I understand many were upset when I left, but they will never know for what and why I left. It took a lot.
I still talk with many at EAS. Management and non management.
I know things aren't the same as when I left. I'm not that obtuse.
Anyway, I always have and always will want the best for the EAS crews. You guys should understand that.

In my experience RI830 has been a straight shooter with everyone about the good, bad and ugly about EAS. No company is perfect, no business model is without flaws and the grass isn't always greener whn you get to the other side.
EAS is not perfect, but if it continues as it has, it will be a survivor and as an employee, that's the best you can hope for in many cases.

Just because you left a job doesn't mean you weren't happy there.
Whether this thread or another I used my own experience as an example.
I left a job that I would have LOVED to have kept for a career - but alas it wasn't my career job. I left the military at 20, but wished I could have stayed for 40 if I could have kept doing what I was doing when I retired.
Just because a person doesn't work there any longer doesn't mean that RI didn't give good insight when he was there, part of the hiring process (right RI?), provided this forum with timely updates and got a EAS profile page started (despite the terribly slow process!). He has been been fairly straight forward with the goods and others of the company.
