Yes Franky uphill both ways, no gloves or boots to keep warm. LOL. I guess my points is that a guy/girl that has only been with EAS only a few months complaing about the sched, pay etc. You know what you signed up for. I try never to complain and escpecially to guys/girls that were here when it was 15/3. I enjoy EAS and maybe that's why I take offense. Let me just clarify that most of the guys/girls that I have flown with are very good and do a great job.

This is not a slap at EAS...as it seems it's a fairly common mindset.
Personally, I see it as a childish management style. You trust a guy or gal with $10++MM in aircraft, and a billion in aggregate liability... and feel the need to tell someone what to eat for lunch?? As far as the "one person who ruined it", how about deal with him or her?
I blew up like an airship under such rules, as the other crewmembers always insisted on catching EVERY meal, so the company wouldn't get away with anything. (also childish)
On a recent 3-day to Chicago as single pilot, I enjoyed an $89 steak dinner drinking water and having no desert. However, left to my own devices, my daily meals average turned out to be $35/day.
I think most people are reasonable. I think pilots are more reasonable yet.
Again sir, your company sounds great overall, and your enthusiasm is laudable. This is just a pet-peeve of mine which I think is embedded with unintended consequences.

Skylane,
As Mojo said, you will always have "That Guy" or two in every aspect of business. What happens is that management has to bring it down to the lowest common denominator.
Ever revoke a "fun time/privlege" from your kids for the actions of one of them? Same mentality.
If you found a person stealing your money, would you continue to leave it out there for the theft?
Confucius say...."Fool me once-shame on you; fool me twice-shame on me"
Many people can be trusted with others money, some others can't.

And no, my style was to "promote" the non-bad kid, and squash the bad one. I think it works better than bumming out the producers.
I can't say that I'm right, and this could be a reason I don't run a big company.

Oh it is standard practice to dumb everything down to the lowest common denominator.
Matter of fact - in many of our cases where something like this happenes - the union makes sure that you can't address it just to the problem child(ren).
