They agreed to improvements in LTD and agreed to switch from 401k matching to a defined contribution. The PBS proposal was in the previous session

But LTD didn't include own occupation, just an increase to 8k. I think it's still maxed out at 2 years.

Default Pay

I'm going to dare ask...what is the pilot group asking pay-wise? Spirit pay equal or better? Also, is the group for PBS? If not, willing to accept less pay for better work rules?

I hope I'm wrong
Was PBS taken off the table completely at the last meeting? In my opinion, I wouldn’t consider LTD improvements and a retirement framework “real progress” after 2 years of negotiations.

Don't forget the $75 in insurance savings if you have more than one kid that the company agreed to give us. That's Hugggggggggggge! it's a $1 pay increase if you fly 75 hours.

The real progress was the fact no real progress was made. Closer we get to proffer the sooner we get this over with. The company won’t negotiate. That is our asset. We need the 29th day of cooling off as fast as we can.

I don't know what the status of PBS is. The email from the union said that they forecfully rejected it. That's all I know. It may very well still be on the table.

And yes, I agree that "real progress" hasn't really been made, but it's probably just enough progress to keep this process dragging.

The pilot group does not want PBS. If we are forced to accept PBS, it will have to come with much higher pay rates. We are in a better position than Spirit was, therefore I expect a better contract.

Spirit pilots were slapped with a TRO, while Frontier management has been found by a neutral arbitrator to be negotiating in bad faith. In addition, we still have the LOA 67 issue. This puts us on better footing than Spirit pilots and I expect a better deal.

As far as PBS goes, I think the union will not accept a TA with it. I would be surprised if PBS makes it through the process. If it does, the pay rates will have to be quite a bit higher than Spirits. I expect to keep line bidding and pay rates slightly higher than Spirits.

Why in God’s creation would we agree to LTD that isn’t own occupation?
