Let's hope this contract gets done quickly so that we're at least able to attract pilots with turbine experience. Seminole to Airbus is a pretty big jump. Captains will all effectively be check airman.

How long before signing bonuses are implemented?
Where do you see that ?

2500 is preferred minimums, they’ll take guys as low as 1500 at the meet and greets but whether they hire them is another story.

I don't think they can't do that without a side letter with the union.
Otherwise it's a violation of the CBA. Not like that would stop them from trying though.

I do not know if there is anything in our contract preventing signing bonuses, but I do know that the unions at all the regional airlines tried to prevent signing bonuses and they all failed to stop them. I think ever single regional in the country has some version of a signing bonus.

This. Including ALPA. If the CBA doesn't explicitly prohibit it (our does not) then it can be (and has been) done.

The aero crew solutions fb post? The ATP minimum comment was by an unknown person there. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Horizon tried to stop their bonus. Don't know if they were successful. Endeavor finally got rid of theirs. At my last regional, ALPA crunched the numbers and proved that a bonus was a waste of money. "Come work here! Get a bonus! Get a type rating! Leave in two years!" A gimmick. Management, however, will always believe that there will always be an endless supply of pilots willing to jump ship and sign on to the next, best bonus. In their minds, a bonus can always be taken away, but a raise is contractual.

?? Not sure what you’re talking about. No private conversation. It’s from our NC update letter.
