Don't you just love it when bad memories from the regionals become your reality AGAIN!?

It wouldn’t be a merger, it would be a Frontier buyout of Allegiant. Allegiant hasn’t proven they WANT to be in the airline business but it’s a part of their leisure business, for now. If it were up to me I’d trim the fat, convert to airbus, ditch the bad reputation with a charm offensive and sell it for whatever I could get for it. Sound familiar?

So let me ask you, what do YOU think of the idea? Do you know what “whipsaw” means? What about “amalgamation”? WTF!!!

With Allegiant’s market cap of 2.31 billion I highly doubt Frontier (Indigo Partners) would have an appetite to execute a buyout. Allegiant Air is now over 70% of where Allegiant Travel Company earns its profits from. So a spin-off of the airline portion would not come at a discount whatsoever. Allegiant is the 2nd most profitable airline by margin in the world and has been for years.

At most I see a merger.

Never going to happen. Allegiant and it's network are too disparate to possess any real synergies to what these clowns are trying to do (pump and dump).

Is the union going to do anything about the canceled vacation? It's getting mighty close to 5 o clock on a Friday.

A TRO would sure come in handy right about now.

He'll, I'll settle for an email saying they are doing everything they can. This sh!t is ruining lives. There has to be a pilot out there that's getting married next month. Could you imagine that?

Cool story, bro. Indigo just ordered $50 billion (retail) worth of airbii. $2B is a cute number. Merger ain’t going to happen, just pray you guys keep doing you and enjoy your home-based quality of life. You don’t want anything to do with us...other than maybe drink beer with us.

Kinda hard when the contract allows the company to do what they are doing. It sucks man but they’re following the letter of the law like we did with LOA 65.

LOA 65 was an agreement that could be revoked at any time and was done so because the company was unwilling to provide information regarding their use of the agreement and ability to track the trips awarded in such fashion. Thus it was rescinded.

What they are doing is no different than if every pilot exploited a loophole in the contract, and there are several, and we simply said that we were "following the contract." Sure there is a letter of the law, but if we collectively did something of this nature you really think the company wouldn't slap a TRO on us? Not the same as LOA 65.

This is retaliation, plain and simple, and it must not be tolerated.

The company does have the right per the contract to rescind vacations, but status quo also comes into play. We lost a huge training reassignment arbitration over black and white contract language a couple years ago because F9 lawyers argued that even though the wording clearly stated a pilot was only required to call in the original day of their displaced sequence, the status qou of the previous 6 years (there had been no hiring and thus no training displacements) now necessitated pilots call in the day prior to the original assignment. Somehow for reasons I still can’t possibly imagine the arbitrator bought it and now we have the weakest OE displacement language in the airline industry.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but this is the first time Frontier has cancelled vacations in the company’s 24 year history. Seems like a pretty clear violation of the status qou to me. We are sitting on a $2 million war chest, it’s time we started using some of it to fight back in court. I’m also surprised we haven’t heard anything from the union over this.
