You read my mind. There are way too many things the company has initiated that are out of the "Status Quo" for them to be throwing stones, especially when NONE of the stones they are throwing have any merit whatsoever.

This is pretty personal. Screwing around with vacation, especially in Summertime. Could backfire on The Company. No one likes their scheduled off-time messed around with.

Per the CBA, remember: If you’re vacation is canceled you can carry it over to 2019. IF there is a new contract by then you can parlay that into better money for vacation drop next year with better pay rates established. Also, if you suffer a non-refundable cost for your vacation cancellation then the Company is required to reimburse you.

I have to look it up but I believe it’s at the company’s discretion to carry it to 2019 or pay you out. I’ll double check when I get home but guess which option the company will take.

I don’t know what rumors you’re hearing on your side of the fence but...

It wouldn’t be a merger, it would be a Frontier buyout of Allegiant. Allegiant hasn’t proven they WANT to be in the airline business but it’s a part of their leisure business, for now. If it were up to me I’d trim the fat, convert to airbus, ditch the bad reputation with a charm offensive and sell it for whatever I could get for it. Sound familiar?

So let me ask you, what do YOU think of the idea? Do you know what “whipsaw” means? What about “amalgamation”? WTF!!!

Correct. You can have elect to reschedule your cancelled vacation to a time later in the year if there’s an open period to be found. Otherwise, AT THE COMPANY’S OPTION, you can push it to the next year or be paid 4.167 hours for each day cancelled.

I’m afraid this little move may end up being the “shot heard ‘round the world.”

I’ll save you the time. I’d bet a bottle of Blue Label they just pay it out at the measly rates dictated by the current contract.

“...the pilot may elect to be rescheduled...during that calendar year...if the pilot elects not to be...AT THE COMPANY’S OPTION...pilot may defer to following calendar year or be paid in lieu of...”

To the best of my knowledge you are correct.

I think you're right. They'll just buy it out.
