From everyone I’ve talked to at events and the picket. We are no where near a breaking point. The consensus I get is that EVERYONE is tired of the company’s games and we all want a good contract yesterday. But we are all unified behind the MEC/NC to hold out for a contract that’s in line with our goals. No one I’ve talked to is at wits end and just wants to get this over with. If anything I think the company is at the breaking point. They’ve pushed it too far and are jeopardizing they’re future growth by playing this stalling game.
Look, Frontier needs this deal done!!! Some people at the GO know this. It is going to be very hard to recruit and sustain with a contract that is sub standard. It has become a need for the company now to get us a market rate contract. United is entering their section 6. I’m pretty sure their rates aren’t going down. Everyone else follows closely behind. If Frontier doesn’t agree to a good enough contract that is at least somewhat competitive the pool is indeed going to dry up. Sounds to me like they’re in the pressure cooker. And, they put themselves there.

Things are about to get interesting on the hiring front. Our seniority list has not grown by (1) pilot in six months. The have had HUGE numbers of no shows for the most recent classes. Orlando already has multiple incentivized trips everyday and we aren't even short staffed yet. Just wait another six months. It's going to be UUUGGGLLLYYY!!

I agree. We are way ahead of where I thought we would be 2 years in. I think the NC/Union is doing an incredible job.
Anyone at the breaking point right now had unrealistic expectations and should educate themselves regarding union busting 101. We are ALL sick of their crap but they didn't get all this money by spending it.
100% percent ready.

I also agree. While frustrated, I'm nowhere near breaking. I've been through this song and dance before and it will get worse before it gets better. My guess for the session next week is that the company will insist they "need" PBS and they'll come up to Allegiant current rates as a way to buy it from us.
Ultimately we are at the mercy of the NMB. If they think that they can decide what's "fair" then we will be forced into choosing between voting on a mediocre contract or maintaining status quo. My preference in that case would be to send a resounding NO vote (80% or more) to the company and the NMB.
Threaten me all you want. If it's not industry standard I'm not supporting it.

I totally agree industry standard or else a no vote.
I think the NC has a pretty darned good idea of what the group expects. Plus as stated above the pressure is on the company now more than the pilot group. With the latest statements from the Omni group and the new Spirit contract the heat is on just in time for summer and the summer travel season. The company has nobody to blame but themselves.

Interesting perspectives in the last couple of posts.
Southerndog has only been here a few years longer than me so I guess that technically groups me in with the senior crowd.
I’m more concerned that the senior folks will be anxious to accept a mediocre agreement. I tend to interact with folks of my seniority and most of my friends *say* they won’t cave to a bad deal, but who knows what they’ll really do in the privacy of a voting booth.
I also realize that birds of a feather tend to flock together and so my pool of friends are likely to share my views—or at least tell me they do.
FWIW

They have to come swinging for the fences to make this contract about trying to attract future pilots. It’s really not all about what we want anymore. It’s about fueling their growth. If they miss the mark here they’re going to starve their own plans. And if they can’t grow, this place dies on the vine.

I just heard the previously mentioned Union rep has resigned as sec/treasurer. If that was your intention, then congratulations.
So many young, new or uneducated pilots these days. The pilot code reads: “if you have a problem with another pilot, inside or outside the cockpit, you address it with that person directly.” If and only if this does not produce results, do you take it elsewhere. And elsewhere should be up the chain of command.
Calling this guy out in public is one of the most sackless things i have seen in a while.
