I'm just totally making this up. Not based on anything I've heard or read. Just my thought.

I don't think a CLE base makes all that much sense. Reason being, the big destination served from CLE are already domiciles. The biggest destinations served from CLE are MCO and LAS. Plus, CLE has daily flights to DEN and I'm sure they serve a lot of TPA and MIA. You don't need a domicile at both ends of a trip. You can serve the heck out of CLE with crews based in our current domiciles via day turns from those bases.

I think PHX makes more sense. PHX is a much larger market with a much larger (and rapidly growing) population. And it works great as a redeye departure airport (like Vegas). Plus, we seem to enjoy going into AA bases.

People though Miami and (Out side of maintenance ) Tampa didn’t make sense too. Going to be both

cle made more sense when we were doing 4 day point to point. Now that it’s down to 2 day with turns you’re correct. We don’t need a base on both ends. From all the “talk” it seems cle as a base is a thing of the past

I contacted recruiting on July 28th and they said they were sending job offers in the “next couple days.” I haven’t heard anything else since..

New class of 32 started today. Guess that training pipeline is shutting down in a hurry. Run for the hills, everyone!

Just got an email saying all in-person pilot compliance events are cancelled for August.
I guess I'll stand-by
