I don't want to make any promises because there are lots of variables that would have to work out, but PM me if you wind up in town with a few days off mid-week. I'll give you a ride to the slopes. I'm junior and on reserve in Denver so I usually work weekends and have 2-3 days off mid-week. I try to ski at least a day or two each week. Ikon pass destinations preferred.

Interview Prep

Hi all, I've got an interview coming up and have some questions about some of the paperwork.

The email I got outlines everything to bring really nicely except when it comes to the logbook part. I rebuilt my stolen logbook with all of my ratings/signoffs from past 8710's. I have my entire official airman file from the FAA up to but not including my ATP that I completed with the regional I am at now. I could ask for another one but with the snail mail process I'm 99.9% certain it won't be here in time. I guess the question I have is will the airman file I have coupled with the ATP 8710 copy printed from the IACRA site suffice on interview day or will they need something more?

I would call directly but cannot find an HR number on the site (they don't want unsolicited phone calls) and they did not provide an email address in the email they sent requesting the documents. I replied to the email they sent that from just in case it does reach them but it was an airlineapps.com.

Thank you all in advance.

Yes! Definitely bring your skis or snowboard.

I just had a question about the interview prep for an upcoming interview. More specifically the paperwork. The email from the company was great in outlining everything to prepare for them except for one part with the logbooks. I have had the pleasure of rebuilding my logbook from past 8710's because of a stolen logbook. I have my entire official airman file from the FAA that includes everything up to but NOT including my ATP which I completed with my current regional. To obtain an updated packet would take time, time which I do not have. I guess my question is this...Will this airmen file plus the iacra generated copy of my ATP 8710 suffice when the interview day comes or is there something else I am missing.

I would try to call Frontier to ask but the website specifically says to write and not call because they don't want unsolicited phone calls. The email they used is an airlineapps.com and I wasn't sure if replying to that would reach Frontier.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Its Denver. You’ll be able to golf and ski in the same week.

My brother once went skiing during the day (@ A-basin) and made it home to attend the 4th of July fireworks display that night.

Can’t say for sure…but logbooks get lost. You won’t be the first person in an interview with a similar story. It’s my understanding that since a logbook validation is required to receive your ATP that 8710 is considered a legal representation of hours to that point. Can you rebuild a logbook from the day of your ATP ride and after before the interview? You can only do so much, but you need to prove to the interview panel that A) you have not embellished/exaggerated your flight times and B) you’ve made your absolute best efforts to show up prepared (ie want the job).

I would add, don't be offended by or defensive about any questions that are asked. Don't make excuses for why it isn't done yet, explain what you're doing to fix it. etc, etc, etc... Interviewing101.
