Don't call in sick if you're not sick, you will be fine.

The company has been taking a hard line on sick calls since roughly December. Peak omicron plus holidays lead to lots of cancelations and they have always retained the right to ask for sick notes but has seldom if ever, exercised that right. They have since routinely asked for sick notes. They hauled a bunch of people in to defend their sick use over the holidays. There have been reports on here of more hearings for sick use and other things but I'm unsure of the veracity of those claims.

From what I can gather, the company is looking for trends in your sick calls. The classic example being: calling in sick every Sunday the Broncos play.
They look at sick calls on Holidays, weekends, and immediately before/ after your vacation.
If you have kids, you can blame sick calls on them

Lineholder info
I work for another airline and I'm doing some numbers with the F9 job offer.
Whats the average days off for a line holder?
What's the avg credit for those lines?
When you drop a trip, do you still get 75 hs guarantee?
Thanks guys

I want to say the average line credit in my base for June is about 80 hours, that's high. Average days off I believe is 15.5 based on what I remember the average daily credit and 80 hours. If you drop below 75, you don't get 75.

75 guarantee is only if you’re on reserve or a new hire in training. Once you have a line, you get paid what you credit. The first 6 months of the year you have to credit a minimum of 60 and the last 6 months it’s a minimum of 70. If that’s all you credit, that’s all you’ll get paid. Now that being said, crediting 60 hours is probably only working 12 days with 18 off. Crediting 70 is working about 14 days with 16 off. If you want to fly more and make more money, you can. If you want to stay home and make less, you can do that too.
