Of course take responsibility and described what you learned and how you became better from it.
Thanks for the reply .

Go to a MTC event. That will expedite your process either way.

I've heard about people getting hired by Frontier with less that 100 hours jet time. (not talking about Cadet programs). Their website says they still require minimum of 500 jet time. I thought if I don't meet minimum requirements I shouldn't even send my app (it's "unprofessional"). So should I send my app if I don't meet minimum requirements or am I missing something?
Thanks!

I can’t tell you what to do and you can argue both ways. Me I am a firm believer in shooting for the stars and let them say no. But that’s me. Doesn’t make it right. Most my FOs with low time come from the universities like you said though. And let me add that most of them have been great so far

Your approach for any job in aviation should be to make them say no. Let someone else decide you’re not qualified. At the time of my interview, I had about 250 jet hours. I have a degree, but not aviation related. I filled out an application, had one internal rec, and went to a MTC event.

Most airlines use airlineapps or similar service these days. They set their parameters what they want based on the current market. If you’re below the threshold for consideration then no one will see your app until either you update or they adjust their search parameters. That way no one’s time is wasted rifling through applications or resumes that aren’t competitive. It has been said in the past that some airlines even like you applying early because it shows motivation and interest. I doubt anyone really cares these days as they’re all looking for as many pilots as they can get. So no, it’s not unprofessional. Apply now and keep updating as you gain experience.

Submitted my app right after LOE at my regional. Updated it 2 times a month on airlineapps and just got the email for the assessment. I’m at 150 121 time, but my app showed 120 hours. Throw your app in and see what happens!

Negative. I did have a LOR and have a bachelors degree. Not sure how much that’s weighted or not.
