Might actually come to fruition now that the merger has gone bust….. help keep ppl coming through the door.
But I don’t really know.

We have to keep in mind that management is very good at and aware of managing public perceptions and obtaining maximum bang for the buck for any change like this. Why just implement it and get the momentary bump in enthusiasm and retention when they can tease it along for several months and extend the warm fuzzies. They'll tease it along with vague mentions at ground school or float the rumor among some willing instructors or whatever. They'll do it until it no longer provides any buzz, then they'll formally make an announcement that wages will go up in ... two months?... Again, why make it effective immediately when they can get a little more life out of the announcement by putting it off another 2 months?

Plausible but when the raise from $60-75 happened they didn’t tell anybody before hand. Somebody just saw it on the paystub and sure enough there it was for everybody.

Don't think it will keep people from updating apps at the legacy's but it will bring F9 up to the industry standard for a 'mainline'. Cash on hand and new planes coming is not the only thing employees look for in long term employement.

I don’t see how this fixes or helps anything. Step up and come to the entire pilot group. Who knew that little provision in the contract would bite us so bad..

This.

Giving the company unilateral authority to make changes to adapt to changing market conditions without having to come to the table…..what a massive mistake.
