Although I may agree, I wouldn’t hold your breath. In my opinion, to be acquired by anyone worthwhile, it would take the company being in financial jeopardy of some sort. And if that’s the case, it’s not going to be a fun ride for anyone while getting to that point. It would be a path filled with stress, bankruptcy, loss of hope/morale, etc. The chances of a nice tidy sale by Indigo to a legacy airline seem slim in today’s regulatory environment.

I think we can all agree that we need to see change in our operations and gate agents before we even consider anything else being an "issue" here. Because those two things are our only issues really. Yeah, many people I know won't fly us because we are delayed a lot and our customers are treated like garbage by gate agents....

But yeah, its all the fault of the at home workers and we just need to keep smiling. Barry seems to just think that at home workers mean no travel, when in reality it means they can travel and work from wherever.... which means on our airline.....

Not training related, but more so new hire: Can someone share with me the monthly health insurance premium for a family plan (bare-bones, cheapest plan) I’m currently in education where it is outrageously priced and not any good. I’ll be joining Frontier shortly and just curious. Thanks!

it’s not great. I’m paying $1300 for kids wife myself. You pay a fee for each kid after two on top of the premium. I have the lowest ppo plan with dental. I could have gotten the HSA high deductible bs but I did that at my last airline and that was just a waste of money still expensive to go see someone and I was paying $600 a month on top of 100% of every doc visit until I broke 6k. All a matter of perspective but with kids in sports and extra curricular activities that they could hurt themselves in, I wanted the peace of mind knowing I dont need to shell out 2k for a ER broken arm incident. All a matter of what you’re comfortable with in the end. But hey vision is free lol

Thanks so much! Definitely helps for future planning. The vision insurance alone is an offer I can’t refuse!

I think the HDHP is the better overall deal unless someone in your family has extenuating circumstances. Get 150$ a month into your HSA. Matter of preference and opinion. Definitely needs some improvement in the next contract as it’s way too high of a cost to employee.

There's 3 plans to pick from.

1) Low Cost, high deductible with an HSA account
2) regular ol' traditional
3) Cadillac

The union has occasionally put out a comparison between them. My takeaway from the comparison is that in the end, it's a wash.

The HSA has some tax advantages though so I think most financial planners will recommend that one but you are on the hook for a lot of health care costs until you hit that high deductible.

I have the HDHP plan and for a family of 4 it’s approximately $480 a month. The company also contributes $150 month into an HSA account. Family deductible are $4k and Max out of pocket is $6.5K.
