If our union is saying something, then we should listen. We are not talking to JD. They are. The fact that he even reached out to them at all is huge compared to BB.

Could it be the same? yeah. But we don't know that yet. For now, our union is saying that it is different and that they are going to let us know just how different after our March session.

I for one, am happy to hear what has been said about JD so far, even AL, both have been a breath of fresh air compared to their previous counterparts.

With all this said, we will see what happens and if it truly turns is different, or the same.

What exactly was the breath of fresh air? Was it them not forecasting a contract in 2026 that would impact its yearly outlook? Maybe it’s AL telling ground schools there base is not doing well and it’s likely to close if we end up re aligning bases in 27’

Hearing that the planned pause in classes is off, due to attrition I guess. Has anyone received a March or April class date?

Don't they still have to do upgrades?

I heard it was only temporary to begin with. Attrition hit over 40 in Feb.

Yes it was meant to be a temporary pause until late April, but hearing that they need to get classes going again as attrition has spiked.

Yes they do, a lot of places needing to be back filled across a few of the bases. Also pretty high failure rates with the new upgrade program, so probably down on the numbers they were expecting to have.

There is an April 6 class of about 25.

Where are the "official" upgrade failure rate #s?

Floodgates are open, with all legacies hiring pretty close to full speed ahead and WN joining the mix, I doubt this stops any time soon, other than for brief 3 month pauses here and there. MAX 7/10 certification seems to be on the horizon and will merely add fuel to the fire. It's not the post-COVID madness, but I could see us averaging 30 per month for 18 more months if not longer.

Thats my guess as well pending international events and their possible effects on our industry.
