Pending no hiccups (so 50/50 chance given our operation) they’ll open MIA with PHX to open shortly (within a year) after. I’m not thrilled about MIA but it might make for some interesting flying to the South. Something better than PUJ, that overnight is getting stale.

The word on the street, recent class photo and seniority list, is that this guy is now at F9? I hope HR does some homework. From this thread and stories I’ve heard from acquaintances who knew him at Colgan and GoJet, this guy shouldn’t be allowed within 100 feet of a plane.

Yikes if that is right. That flow we have is a rough one. We take the senior pilots, but won’t let anyone apply outside of the flow. We pass on the best pilots for the most senior, which doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

The picture that I was shown of this guy is from years ago. So, people age, but the two most likely candidates are:

Wouldn’t that be a federal offense? Assuming he was prosecuted, if he wasn’t I’m not sure how much HR could find out. It wouldn’t show up in any background checks.

Oh boy. I was a LEO in a past life and, when this guy pulled his stunt, I received a lot of calls from old cop buddies asking me what in the heckaroo (g-rated edit) is a FFDO.

I do recall seeing his picture associated with one of the stories when it all went down. Going off an old memory, I’m fairly certain that I do see him in the class photo mentioned. His name is also listed in the caption, but it’s in alphabetical order - not by position in the photo. It looks like our concerned friend’s post was edited for privacy reasons (understandable), so I won’t point him out. But I’d be certain enough to put money on it. In addition, there is only one person by that name in the FAA database that holds an ATP. So, if we have someone by that name here, there is a very, very good chance that it’s the same person (unless, of course, “C” isn’t his legal first name).
