This is correct. Had a silver bullet submitted in April and never heard anything because hiring stopped and they did away with it after hiring resumed.

Where is the info about the cancellation of the silver bullet program coming from? The paperwork is still available on myfrontier and one of the last paragraphs in Part 2 of the November “Pilot Talk” literally says to send silver bullets to the CPO.

I’m about to start filling one out for someone, but would rather not if it’s just going to get deleted from the CPO inbox...

I was at the Meet the Chiefs in ORD to maybe trigger an interview and asked the recruiter directly if the silver bullet still exists and he said not exactly in that format. He said it’s basically a LOR that maybe holds a little bit more weight

I don’t think they have a clear picture of how they’re going to recruit and what/if/ when any weight is given to recommendations. CPO has verbally said no more Sliver Bullets but then, as mentioned in the above quoted post, the CPO specifically refers to Silver Bullets. I take this to mean they haven’t figured it out yet.

If in doubt, fill it out.

Join the club. Tomorrow is Friday the 6th and the first Monday of Jan is the 6th so we're into that 30 day window for notifications HR mentioned. My guess is the folks to be in the January class should hear any day now?!

RGS today... the pool is about dried up... if you’re in the pool, you should be in class very soon... new base announcement and a bunch of new destinations (actual new stations) announcement Dec 18 (was told the base is in the eastern time zone... who the hell knows).... supposedly they’re going to have 4 new bases next year... they think they’ll actually roll out 2 or 3... Thomas Cook a/c they’re still looking into... 4 is supposedly the possible number (again, who the hell knows).... the silver bullet still exists for a short while longer... the hiring process has gotten way more complicated and involved than when I dealt with it... they still want us to wear hats... they still want us to not start the apu... they still think we’re the best... blah blah blah
