I came from a WO we don’t have lost days bc our trips are nowhere near as inefficient as what you’ll see flying as an American feeder it’s night and day. I remember sitting for multiple hours in American hubs in the middle of every 4 day trip, the schedules are not built the same.

1) What is the typical pairing for a junior line holder? 4/3. 4/4, varies., etc..?

2) Will crew scheduling approve drop trip requests? i.e. I don't want to work this month and don't need the money.. I request to drop each sequence.. Is there a place where a pilot can go look (like at Spirit and UA) to determine the chances of his drop getting approved? What about dropping reserve?

3) What are the reserve callout requirements?

4) Does F9 have airport standby? If so, is there a limit to how many times they can put you on standby a month, per sequence? Do you get paid per hour you sit, or do you sit for 8 and get paid for 4?

5) Does F9 have a min day guarantee for pay?

6) Does F9 have lost days during sequences?

7) Is anyone willing to PM me and send me a PDF of the contract so I can review and make my own educated decision?

8) How does DH pay work? i.e. 75%, 100%, DH on other carriers?

The interview invite caught me by surprise as I don't know much about F9. I'm a huge outdoorsman and love the tails..

You sound like a great guy to work with.

I think American is more your type of place....

Don’t worry all he has to say is that he likes the outdoors and the tails...but knows nothing else about the airline that he applied to. I am sure they will sniff him out.

Why are you guys flaming this dude? These are excellent contract questions. And what's so secretive about it?

We do not have a min duty period of 5 hours. We have an Average Minimum Duty Period of 5 hours.

Duty Period 1: 7:00 Credit
Duty Period 2: 3:00 Credit
Duty Period 3: 5:00 Credit

A min duty period of 5 hours, like was incorrectly stated, would pay 17:00 hours. Our min duty period AVERAGE pays 15:00 for this trip.

Anything less than a TAFB of 52:30 and the 3.5 to 1 Trip Rig doesn't come into play.

I've revealed too many State Secrets. Now I will mysteriously disappear into the shadows.

Default Interview Day Question - ATP Test

Greetings all,
I have an interview w/ Frontier soon and had a question about the 30 minute, 32 question ATP test. For anyone that has gone through the process recently, I noticed the gouge online was kind of all over the place; either it was extremely vague or people used a thousand different ways to prep for this ATP test. Do the test questions come from the FAA ATP written test bank, or some other source? If I were to review the Sheppard Air test prep (ATP) would that suffice? I saw many posters mentioned they prepped by using some nameless Interview Test prep software, but not sure how that would be relevant to the Frontier test. Just want to make sure I start the day off well and not bomb the first part and get sent home early!

Any info you guys can provide is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

First time I’ve ever been in agreement with you, but yeah, why the flame? Good on you for helping the dude/dudette out.

There are several ways to study for the FAA ATP written test, so you’re going to get different experiences. That’s just what it is, the FAA ATP written test bank pertaining to Part 121 multi engine jet operations.

Shepard air has a test prep specifically for airline interview ATP test questions. You get a $20 discount if you’ve already used one of their other preps within a year so just buy it. Questions for the Shepard air ATP interview prep are pulled straight from the FAA ATP question bank minus the charts, diagrams, calculations, weight shift..all that. Skip the stuff regarding turboprops, ESHP... Yes, the ATP test you get at the interview is basically from the FAA ATP bank. anyone flying a jet part 121 should have no problems passing it if you just put in some effort.

I agree as well. Just Trying to answer 8 questions without getting into the weeds and I’m not sending the agreement to a person I’ve never met and don’t know. That’s just me. Ps there are no 4 days with a tafb less than 52.30. It’s ALMOST physically impossible. It’s more the 3 day 2 duty less than 35 tafb that are the problem with the average.

I hear you and yeah, that makes sense.

I’m not sure what everyone else’s experience has been, but I have enjoyed 25+ hour 4-day trips and 18 to 20+ hour 3 day trips. Even the option to mix things up with a lighter workload, 20+ hour, rigged 4 day in some of these nice locations/hotels we have now. It’d be nice to start the go-home day A little earlier sometimes, but at least the rig is there.
