The latest indigo order was for 134, and we're not even finished with the Republic NEO orders yet. The current fleet stands at 97, and 16 still need to go back. Should be north of 217. Anybody know how many NEO's to go on the old order?

As we get new ones, older leases will go away too probably... the first “new” plane was Orville or one of the bears? That’ll probably be gone before we get our last XLR or NEO... who knows what the max on property will ever be...

I’ve heard grumblings of another aircraft order. Idk what the plausibility is with the time frame but I wouldn’t be surprised if something came out after the FAPA invest stuff is all done.

You never know till it happens, but in my interview a year and a half ago our CP said that the goal was 4800 pilots by the end of 2026.

Things change and some stuff is just outright bull, but that is what was being pitched.

I have always been told 3500ish pilots. I guess it depends on if we get any extra planes outside the orders. Anyone know anything on the TC planes? Seems they are in flux every other month

I was told by someone in the know that we are not getting any of the Thomas Cook planes.

Maybe a good thing. Anything we get from other airlines winds up being a giant POS. Mustang Sally, anyone? (came from LTU), 227 and 228? (Monarch). Probably better to wait for the new-builds.

In recurrent recently I was told Indigo wanted 12 TC aircraft, training said unable. OK, how about 8 aircraft? training said unable. Then settled on 4 TC aircraft. Hence, the large class sizes. It's anybody's guess.

we must have been in the same recurrent, because that’s what I heard too. Spring ETA for them, but who knows.

I highly doubt the training department determined the outcome of incoming TC planes. There are too many yes men in this company number one and two indigo would just tell them this is what we’re doing. They would have no problem staffing them all they would have to do is not stop hiring over the summer like I can guarantee will happen. We were only supposed to hire around 250ish pilots this year so I expect around a 3-4 month hiring pause during the summer.
