I highly doubt the training department determined the outcome of incoming TC planes. There are too many yes men in this company number one and two indigo would just tell them this is what we’re doing. They would have no problem staffing them all they would have to do is not stop hiring over the summer like I can guarantee will happen. We were only supposed to hire around 250ish pilots this year so I expect around a 3-4 month hiring pause during the summer.

Training departments are always involved in the staffing projections and aircraft orders affect staffing, especially when you’re already in high growth mode. It’s very feasible training advised upper management that resources were going to be running close to max with the existing delivery schedule.

Love it. We aren't getting any additional airplanes so they increase the hiring numbers dramatically. It was 250 newhires and has been consistently that for a while. How recently did he say that?

maybe the realized that running out of reserves when the weather gets bad is not a good thing for business. They have us so thin it’s good for making money, horrible for completing flights.
