Little dramatic, no? It is a 5 year contract. We can secure the extra 50 cents per hour next time around and save you the hundreds of thousands of dollars you almost lost. If we can be honest, this contract is so much better than the old one it is laughable. Hourly could certainly be more, but the sky is falling reassignment concerns have not happened. If fact I have already been delayed into a day off twice. That netted me 10 hours and a vacation day, and both times the reassignmentled to a dh on the last leg. First time, I got home before my original release time and the second time, I got home 90 minutes after.

Whatever floats your $2 boat.

Good thing companies like DL, AA, UA, and SWA aren’t having problems with loose and non financially punitive reassignment language. Oh wait.

This place will always be a half-baked turd burger because of thinking like yours.

You must be the captain of the frontier flight I commuted on yesterday lol.

Told him I was joining the frontier ranks when I asked for the ride and he immediately went on to tell me I was now the lowest paid airbus pilot in the world blah blah blah. I won’t let one bad apple dampen my excitement at the opportunity I have.

Ok, you’re right. Frontier doesn’t have a shameful per diem rate and all of the real airlines aren’t fighting a reassignment battle. Also the pay rates up to year 12 are industry average. Copy. Thanks for clearing that up.

Do you have your applications out at these industry average places?

Man, I’ve been on two Delta jumpseats the last two months and both times the Capt and FOs were “rerouted”. Once they were supposed to end up in California for the night and they ended up having to go to Billings. The other was a Atlanta crew rerouted to Vegas and then SLC. I asked them if it’s possible to make extra money when they are “rerouted” they said no. The capt just said if they can use you they will. He talked like it’s not in uncommon. So it happens at DL.
As far as the per diem thing V1 and you claiming losses of “100s of thousands” you should recalculate. With four, four days at 75 hrs TAFB right now would cause you to lose $1,200 a year, that gap will eventually get closer and you will lose around 400 a year. Even with insane compound interest, and you packing food every trip it’s no where near $25,000 over 35 years let alone hundreds of thousands. Look I’m not defending our low per diem, I would have loved for it to be higher but let’s not be dramatic.
Also, I know both Untied and Delta have re assignment language. Anyhow that’s all.

Welcome Zoo. Please keep in mind that we fought a very tough battle with this company. Even the 77% who voted yes (I respect their positions) fought this hard battle right along side the 'no' voters. Some wounds are still fresh, and everyone has a right to express themselves, including you - new guy! That said I have advice. You can take it, or **** it right down the drain for all I care, but I'm going to give it anyway: Take a step back and humble yourself a little as you opine on a situation you did not endure. Calling out F9 pilots on this board before you even hit the line is stupid.

Yeah your right. I just get tired of people endlessly **** about their situation and not doing anything about it. I guess that’s what Internet forums are for though.

He does have a point.... Fresh wound or not, if all you want to do is still b**** about things that you are angry about after the fact, oh and things that other Legacy Airlines have like reassignment, then maybe an application isn’t a bad idea. It’s time to let go of the past and look forward to the next negotiation. Don’t forget, but stop living in the past
