Bird.
I interviewed in February and signed an offer letter for the April class which was shrunk. I've been in the pool ever since. If I had to guess, he's working his way in order from first to last on the list of poolies. I did not ask about the announcement.
Just a general update about the confirmed December class.
Sounds like they are pulling candidates in order of oldest to newest interview dates with some exception for the Compass, Go-Jet, and TSA flows.
Also JA alluded to a new training footprint which has been rumored. Sounds like CBAT's for systems.
I was offered a spot in the December class, however they are not handing out offer letters yet. I was also told they would need to re-do my background and drug screening since it has been so long.

Talked to an HR guy before our flight last week. He said December is the next class and, I believe, he mentioned there was only 20 seats for that one. He said they’re using this time to run small batches through the new training format, which is just CBTs to shorten ground school to 1 week. There was supposed to be a class of 4 starting yesterday. Not sure if that happened or not.
He emphasized “contract efficiency” and pilots flying more, which allowed them to pause hiring. Anyway, sounds like they’re also making some big changes over at the training center, personnel and all.
I expected them to start full classes prior to December, but it sounds like there’s no plan for that right now. It looks as if they’ll hire and train people like they did early this year. Hopefully that lasts longer than 3.5 months this time.

Scott Haralson: Growing a company more than 200% in about six years with sights on doubling again over the next five is difficult and complex.
This is the third time this year NK has stated a fleet of 270-290 airframes in the next five years.
