Seeing that others have been contacted by hiring and I havent concerns me. I was hired in Feb and offered the April class but couldnt make that due to my military retirement, missing the April start date by 2 weeks, so I took the May class. I withdrew my retirement and can resubmit when needed when training starts again. My concern though is will I get bumped to the 2nd class based on the pre-covid class rosters or can I get in the first available training class because I was given the CJO with the inital class of April? Is there a seniority for training slots based on when the CJO was given? I am worried that if I dont make the cut for the first training class back, it could be 6 months more before another class gets trained! I had been planning to call in and just let my desire be know.

JB,
I have to echo the sentiment of many of the guys here, just reach out to HR and let them know your situation. I was with you in that April hire group and got worried that I wasn’t hearing anything from the company. After I reached out I got a phone call and a confirmation that I would be added to there email distribution. Sure enough, after that I’ve seen an email almost every month. If the communication is any indication of future treatment I feel like we are in good hands. I’m also retiring soon from active duty and know how you feel, wanting to ensure you have a job waiting for you.

So I reached out and contacted one of the hiring HR reps that was at our interview day. She did confirm that training slots will be given out in order of interview day, so I dont have to worry about that. She did present a possibility that training classes will likely not be 40 plus pilots right off the bat. I believe the March class was likely sent home, so I would assume that when training restarts, us that got hired in Feb will likely have plenty of notice, however dont count on being in the 1st or even 2nd class depending on class size. It sucks knowing this covid situation is going to take a long time to playout.

On top of this, Frontier will add two new routes and expand service on 12 others this winter. One place where it is expanding is Cincinnati (CVG), where the future of Delta’s long-standing base is in question with the closure of its pilot base there by the end of the year.
“We’re a growth airline and we’re still taking delivery of a lot of aircraft this year, so we have to grow,” said Biffle. Frontier did not delay or cancel any deliveries of new jets due to the pandemic but will take fewer A320neos than planned due to the temporary closures of Airbus’ assembly lines.

Frontier expects nine A320neo deliveries in 2020, or six fewer than executives outlined in December.
With growth still very much on the Frontier playbook, Biffle is not overtly looking for openings created by the crisis. Some opportunities at airports that are restricted by gates or slots may present themselves, but the airline’s expansion is limited by its Airbus orderbook, he said.
Other airlines are publicly using the crisis as an opportunity to grow. Southwest Airlines commercial chief Andrew Watterson told TPG in May that the carrier expects to repeat its history of capturing “substantial demand post the downturn.” The airline plans 11 new routes this winter and a nearly full schedule — though not a full map — by year-end.
“It’s been a lot of hard work and hopefully people are good about travel,” said Biffle. “I just hope there are more masks that are required in a lot more states so that we can slow down the spread that’s starting to pop up in a few places.”

Growth airline
Frontier is ramping up its schedule and resuming its fast-paced growth. By September, the carrier plans to operate about 75% of what it flew last year, and 80% to 90% of its 2019 schedule by year-end, said Biffle. It aims to surpass 2019 flying levels next year, which would be an impressive feat given multiple estimates project that it could take the broader industry up to five years to return to those levels. On top of this, Frontier will add two new routes and expand service on 12 others this winter. ^What he said^ All March students are done with sims, except for one whom is doing sims this month. Out of the March class, one guy is currently doing/completing OE at the moment. Hopefully all should complete OE by the end of July, early August. Hang in there! Hopefully y’all get an email for class soon.

Looks like everyone back on property by April per todays system bid. 600 new hires for next year according to the school house seems to be a credible rumor as well.
Ill take the good vibes
